Your Go-To Solution for Temperature-Controlled Freight:

Introduction

FreshX has redefined refrigerated less-than-truckload (LTL) freight by providing instant pricing and seamless access to carriers. Often compared to “Expedia for Reefer LTL,” the platform empowers logistics professionals to find, quote, and book shipments efficiently.

Origin and Pivot

Founded by Clay Curran and Lance Hackney, FreshX began as a digital freight brokerage focused on temperature-controlled LTL. After identifying significant pain points in quoting and carrier selection, the company closed the brokerage and pivoted to become a software provider. Today, FreshX is dedicated to helping freight brokerages tackle refrigerated LTL, industry-wide.

Platform Highlights

  • Instant Pricing: A standardized engine crunches carrier rate sheets, schedules, and pricing matrices to deliver real-time quotes on temperature-controlled LTL.
  • User-Friendly Design: The interface functions like a travel booking site, offering estimated delivery dates, commodity options, and temperature selection.

Roadmap to Growth

FreshX is continuously improving its platform, with exciting features on the horizon:

  • Add-On Cargo Insurance: Integrated solutions for shipment coverage.
  • Interline Routing: Expanding network coverage through multi-carrier connections.
  • API Integrations: Connecting with TMS platforms and customer portals to enhance user experience.
  • Truckload Integration: Extending capabilities to include truckload services.
  • Cold Storage Solutions: Addressing overages, shortages, and damages with short-term warehousing options.
